If you are driving yourself, you buy tickets at the entrance. If you are taking a day trip from Sofia, you should book the tour in advance.
Adult tickets cost a few euros, with discounts for students, children and pensioners. Cash is required.

It was beautiful and nice mixture mountains and cave. The ride is long (on the way back there was a problem with the air conditioning) the guide Dimitre loves nature. He was extremely nice thoughtful and fun
Highly recommended to those wanting to explore beyond Sofia. Breathtaking views all throughout. Dimitar (driver guide) was great and accommodating.
It was a fun tour. Georgi is a really great guide, and he seems to enjoy what he’s doing. His English is excellent and we had some great conversations. I enjoyed exploring the fortress, the views from it are amazing, and the interesting rock formations fascinated me. The cave was interesting too. I recommend this tour and hopefully you get Georgi as the guide.
